As women in the workplace, we are told anything is possible—if a woman hasn't done it yet, then we can be the first. But in reality, there are still unwritten rules that make it possible to see the next step but never reach it. Sometimes we become so numb to our problems that we accept them as unchangeable—we get stuck. What if you could change your life, starting with your career?

Getting Unstuck: A Guide to Moving Your Career Forward tells the story of how one woman found the time and energy to overcome mental burnout and imposter syndrome to advance in corporate America. Meredith Moore Crosby, who supported the most diverse senior leadership team in the history of the McDonald’s Corporation, shares unwritten rules and the advice of her mentors to evolve your dream job into your dream life, taking control of your time and designing a set of values to lead you onward. Her book offers a vision for aligning your purpose with partnerships to move your career forward.

It’s not about succeeding or failing—not trying is the only real risk. Let Meredith take you on a journey to getting unstuck.

Hi, I'm Meredith, and my mission is to help high performers lead with confidence in uncertain times. That means I'm always looking for best practices in productivity, communications, and inspiration to navigate challenging situations. I learned how to think this way during my career, leading communications, brand, and reputation initiatives for some of the world's largest companies like McDonald's, 3M, and Comcast.

Now, as President of Leverette Weekes, I'm running my family-owned communications and coaching company, helping leaders responsible for diversity and inclusion overcome imposter syndrome and mental burnout to leave an indelible mark on their corporations.

I live in the Twin Cities, and two years ago, I wrote my first book to share the battle-tested lessons to help everyone advance at work in
Getting Unstuck: A Guide to Moving Your Career Forward.

My career started in finance, and later I found myself writing for the chief operations officer for McDonald's USA. I had the pleasure of supporting the most diverse senior leadership in McDonald's history, including the historical rise of the first African American CEO. During my time at the largest fast-food restaurant in the world, I led award-winning global initiatives and external brand engagement resulting in McDonald's recognition as a diversity leader and talent developer.

My journey rising the ranks to become the youngest director at McDonald's is featured in Successful Women Think Differently, by Valorie Burton, and a variety of publications, including Diversity Woman magazine. I've been recognized as one of Ebony magazine's top 30 young leaders, and I'm the youngest recipient of Howard University's global visionary award. I have also been recognized by the Minneapolis- St. Paul Business Journal as a recipient of the publication's annual "40 Under 40 Awards."

An advocate for access to education, I am a proud graduate of Howard University, and I have a master's of science in managerial communications from Northwestern University.  I am a member of The Links, Incorporated, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and the International Coaching Federation. For the last two years, I shared my insights with readers as a Forbes Coaching Council member.

Outside of work, I'm on the national governing board of the Jeremiah Program, a national nonprofit supporting single moms with safe, affordable housing, career-track education to provide a pathway out of poverty for their children through high-quality childhood education.

As a working mom, I don't get much free time, but when I do, I like to sleep, watch cooking shows on repeat or connect with friends on LinkedIn. I have two sons under the age of six.
