Are You Ready for a Career Reboot? Session 1 Starts Now

The executives I work with in my coaching practice are high-functioning, elite, and successful. They show up, do the work, and hit the metrics. And yet many feel stuck, as if they’re not reaching their full potential or not working in a way that resonates with them on a bone-deep level.

Their experiences inspired me to create a framework that can help people make positive change in their careers. If you’ve been feeling misaligned, burned out, or just plain "stuck," I want to share it with you. Over the next 12 months, we are going to walk through the Getting Unstuck Academy together. Each month, right here in your inbox, I’ll be sharing a lesson from our Transition Action Plan Coaching Program.

We begin with Setting Your Goal.

When you know where you want to go, your path reveals itself.

It’s time to assess your motives and identify your areas of focus. Begin by articulating where you are feeling most stuck in your professional life.

  • Are you at your best personally and professionally?

  • Do you love your employer, but not what you do now?

  • Do you dream of a different position in the same industry, or a complete career pivot?

Now that you understand the problem, it’s time to set your S.M.A.R.T. goal. Make it Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-Bound. Here’s an example from my archives:

I will be a sought-after inspirational speaker on advancing women at work globally. In the next 18 months, I will speak to over 100 people at major corporations and professional organizations about mentorship, CSR, and teach listeners how to get unstuck with goal setting.

Time to Take Action

Once you have a goal, consider getting an updated assessment of your strengths to decide with confidence and data, if you are ready for more. Seeing your goals and skills on paper will give you the clarity to decide what you need to do in the next 90 days to make it happen.

Next month, we’ll dive into Session 2: Getting Unstuck Mindset. But for now, sit with this question: If I weren't afraid of failing (or succeeding), what is the first thing I would change about my day?

Hit reply and let me know. I read every single message.

Stay unstuck.

Coach's Corner

In a recent LinkedIn post, I talked about the necessity of emotionally detaching from your work routines.

We often stay stuck because our identity is wrapped up in the rhythm of our current job: the morning meetings, the specific stressors, the "importance" of our title. But to grow, you have to be willing to loosen your grip on the familiar.

I’ve been there. At 25, I quit a blossoming career that looked great on paper but felt like a lead balloon in my spirit. I took a financial hit, dealt with my outside judgments, and even faced health challenges like temporary blindness due to stress. But detaching from the "safe" path was the only way I could, eventually, build the life I have now.

I would be honored to help you find your path, too.

Registration is live! Can’t wait to see you on the Vineyard.
